Richard E. Davis (1926 – October 6, 2015) founded KC Masterpiece barbecue sauce. Davis began his career as a child psychiatrist, instructor and author. His academic posts included appointments as professor and acting chairman of the department of psychiatry at Eastern Virginia Medical School, and later, as dean of the school of medicine at the University of North Dakota. He was the creator of K.C. Masterpiece Barbecue Sauce. In 1986, he sold the sauce to the Kingsford (charcoal), Kingsford Charcoal. Rich Davis, M.D. died peacefully at home. Early life and education Davis, born in Joplin, Missouri, graduated from Topeka High School in 1944, and served a year and a half in the army. Tyree Ricardo Davis (born September 23, 1979) is an American former professional basketball player who played twelve seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Biography Davis attended North High School in Davenport, Iowa. Richard Davis is an American professor and author. He is a professor emeritus at Brigham Young University. He is the author of several books and articles in American politics, including ''Web of Politics, Electing Justice, Supreme Democracy, and Campaigning Online''. Richard Allen Davis (born June 2, 1954) is an American convicted murderer whose criminal record fueled support for the passage of California's " three-strikes law" for repeat offenders and the involuntary civil commitment act for sex offenders and predators. Richard Gary Davis was awarded the Soldier's Medal, the Army's highest honor for heroism not involving actual conflict with an enemy, for an action in the Republic of Vietnam on 14 May 1967. While serving as a helicopter door gunner, he was helping load and arm sixty Mk.IV aerial flares into a helicopter at a fueling station at Chu Lai, Vietnam. Noticing that one of the flares had fused, he retrieved it and ran with it across a taxiway and threw it into a safe area. Had it ignited in the helicopter the flare would have ignited the other flares and subsequently the thousands of gallons of fuel at the fuel farm. Richard John Davis, OBE, FRAS (28 June 1949 – 2 May 2016) was a radio astronomer for the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics at the University of Manchester. Personal life Davis was born in March, Cambridgeshire, England, the first child of Hugh Davis, a railway man, and Thelma Carter. He had a brother, architect Christopher Davis, and Richard had two sons, William and Anthony. After falling ill in Italy, he died on 2 May 2016, aged 66, at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. He was survived by his mother. His funeral took place at St Paul's Church, Macclesfield, on 25 May 2016. Education Davis attended March Grammar School for boys in 1960–67. Reverend Richard Davis (18 January 1790 – 28 May 1863) was a New Zealand meteorologist, missionary and farmer. He made weather recordings in the northern North Island from 1839 to 1844, and 1849 to 1851, making them the oldest continuous land-based recordings in New Zealand. In 2019 they were inscribed into UNESCO's Memory of the World Aotearoa New Zealand Ngā Mahara o te Ao documentary heritage register. Davis was born in Dorset, England. Career Davis was a missionary. The Church Mission Society sent Davis and his wife and six children to Northland in 1824, from Dorset. He then started a farm at Waimate North in 1830 and grew seeds from England, including both fruits and vegetables. Understanding the climate was required to grow these plants.
